03 July, 2026 – Today marks a significant milestone: the finalization of the membership subscription design for rismexam.com. This platform is set to become our flagship educational initiative for the 2026–2027 cycle under AgentMY.Online.
Reflecting on the journey, it feels like a full-circle moment. My own path began in 2014 when I first sat for the BOVAEP Estate Agent’s Examination—a grueling process that culminated in my graduation in 2017 with a perfect 6/6 score in Part 2. In those early days, we operated humbly via Blogspot.com. By 2018, we had migrated to WordPress, launching estateagentexam.com.
Those four years were a crucial period of learning the ropes. From 2019 to 2024, the market warmly embraced our fully online e-learning support for the BOVAEP Diploma in Estate Agency Professional Examination. We proved that quality preparation didn’t require a physical classroom.
The COVID-19 pandemic forever altered the educational landscape. It taught us that e-learning and the integration of ICT in education are irreversible trends. While many traditional colleges scrambled to move their courses online—and even attempted to compete in the niche of estate agent education—we weathered the first wave of competition with two distinct advantages: our status as a low-cost operator and our fully remote, 100% online support model. It wasn’t until 2025 that we took the step of opening our first physical class in Kuching, Sarawak.
Yet, the core challenge has always been our demographic. The majority of our students are part-time adult learners—hardworking individuals balancing careers and family obligations. For them, professional examinations are notoriously difficult to pass, not because of a lack of intelligence, but because of a scarcity of time. They have too much to juggle and too little room to focus, all while needing to put meals on the table.
Despite these personal and economic pressures, the modern job market demands ever-higher levels of competency. The pressure for promotion and job security means that continual education and re-skilling are no longer optional—they are a necessity. Many mid-career professionals find themselves caught in this predicament, needing to upskill but lacking the conventional pathways to do so.
Navigating this thriving yet demanding market requires one to equip themselves with professional qualifications that are universally recognized. One such esteemed credential is a qualification from the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM).
We aspire to replicate our decade-long success (2015–2026) in running the BOVAEP examination support by offering this RISM qualification through a robust online e-learning system. In Malaysia, there are three professional pathways in real estate: becoming a Registered Estate Agent (to run an agency firm), a Registered Valuer, or a Registered Property Manager.
Our hope is that by transitioning the RISM Graduate Entry Examination to an accessible online support system, we can reach aspiring professionals in remote cities and towns throughout Malaysia. By doing so, we aim to empower a new generation of qualified RVs, REAs, and RPMs—bridging the geographic gap and ensuring that professional excellence is not confined to the capital city, but is accessible to every corner of the nation.
